What I did
I supported social media and influencer activity across campaigns for Paramount Pictures and Amazon Music podcasts. My role focused heavily on identifying online communities and social media pages that could help amplify podcast and entertainment content in a way that felt organic and culturally relevant. I researched and sourced community pages across Instagram, verified their audiences and engagement levels, and managed outreach and negotiations to secure promotional opportunities for campaigns and podcast launches.
A large part of my work involved supporting entertainment campaigns through meme-style content and community-led promotion. We created social-first meme content to help promote new Paramount films and television shows, including Below Deck, by identifying short, engaging moments from existing content and repurposing them into social media assets designed for audience engagement and shareability. Alongside this, I worked directly with community pages on a weekly basis, negotiating rates, developing agreements and coordinating promotional activity to ensure campaigns were delivered smoothly and aligned with campaign objectives.
In addition to outreach and campaign coordination, I also supported with reporting and campaign analysis across a number of projects. This included assisting with reporting for a longer-term Semilac campaign working with Sophie Hannah, helping track campaign performance and organise results across influencer and social activity. Through this role, I developed a strong understanding of entertainment marketing, online communities and how social-first content can be used to increase engagement and cultural relevance around films, TV shows and podcasts.
