What I did
I supported the Xbox UK account across Facebook, Instagram, X and Discord, helping manage content and community-focused activity across multiple platforms. My role involved supporting day-to-day social media management, writing captions and assisting with content planning to ensure content remained engaging, platform-specific and aligned with Xbox UK’s tone of voice. Working across gaming communities required a strong understanding of internet culture, audience behaviour and how to create content that felt both relevant and community-led.
Alongside supporting the management of Xbox UK’s social channels, I also contributed towards major campaign moments and launches. This included supporting Gamescom 2023 content and creating social media content for the launch of Starfield, helping amplify campaign activity across Xbox UK’s platforms. In addition, I created content specifically for the Discord community, adapting messaging and content styles to suit the platform’s audience and encouraging stronger community engagement within the gaming space.
I also supported influencer marketing activity across campaigns, including outreach for a FIFA campaign where I researched, reviewed and verified suitable influencers for collaboration opportunities. This involved assessing creators for audience relevance, engagement and overall brand suitability before supporting outreach and campaign coordination. Through this role, I gained further experience working within fast-paced entertainment and gaming campaigns, balancing content creation, community engagement and influencer marketing across large-scale global brands.
