Overview
Co-created the tone of voice playbook for Microsoft UK
Developed and managed content calendars, collaborating with writers and designers to produce and schedule platform-specific assets.

What I did
Working across Microsoft’s global social media channels, I supported the day-to-day management of content and community engagement across X, LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram. I worked closely on a large technology account, supporting with content ideation, content co-ordination and copywriting, ensuring that all content aligned with Microsoft’s tone of voice whilst still feeling relevant and engaging for each platform’s audience. Alongside this, I helped manage content calendars and collaborated with writers, designers and wider teams to produce platform-specific content that connected with both existing followers and wider tech communities.
As the role developed, I became more involved in community management, initially supporting and later leading engagement across branded and non-branded conversations. This included monitoring sentiment, responding to audiences in real time and helping shape meaningful conversations across X and LinkedIn. Working on a global account meant understanding how different audiences interacted with content and adapting communication styles accordingly, whilst ensuring all engagement stayed aligned with Microsoft’s brand values and wider communication objectives. Through this, I developed a strong understanding of online communities, audience behaviour and how to balance brand messaging with authentic interaction.
Alongside community engagement, I also played a key role in keeping content production and publishing organised across multiple channels and campaigns. I supported the planning and scheduling of content calendars, working closely with creatives and stakeholders to ensure campaigns were delivered efficiently and consistently. From copywriting and content co-ordination to audience engagement and sentiment monitoring, I contributed to creating a social presence that felt both strategic and community-led, helping strengthen Microsoft’s relationship with its global online audience.
